Murdoch's Bathhouse- Seawall, Galveston

In 2009, Shelmark developed structural construction plans to rebuild the historic seawall property to current wind codes and flood plain elevations including new access pier and stairs.

Pelican Rest Marina

A state-of-the-art marina featuring floating concrete docks and breakwaters designed to house 60 foot and larger class sport fishing yachts. Shelmark handled all USACE permitting and prepared construction plans for site utilities, parking, fire protection, pilings for floating docks, retaining walls and supporting landward buildings.

Texas A&M Galveston Boat Ramp and Basin

Developed construction plans including demolition of damaged structure, installation of new floating docks, shoreline repair and improvements, new boat ramp and bulkhead plans and USACE permitting for the improvements to the TAMUG Small Boat Basin.

Sunset Cove and The Estates at Sunset Cove Subdivision- Galveston, TX

Sunset Cove is an ecology minded master planned community designed to incorporate the existing nature of the coast. Large dune borders, water ponds, walking trails and a nature reserve area that includes wetlands that are woven throughout the development.
Shelmark provided engineering services of: permitting, canal excavation, bulkhead design, dredging and beneficial use site creation, water & sewer systems and storm water retention facilities.
Developed construction plans, bidding and construction phase services for waterfront community including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), excavation of 56 acres of new canals, 2.1 miles of concrete bulkheads, wetland/beneficial use mitigation site, water and sewer lines, storm sewer and retention ponds, and roads.

A premier gated waterfront community with views of the wetlands and the bay existing in an unmatched location on the Intracoastal Waterway. A coastal community with all of the state-of-the-art amenities including marina, yacht club, and swim center. Shelmark's involvement included canal excavation, bulkhead design, paving construction, water & sewer systems and design services.
